"Summer Of '99" cruise will also feature an exclusive live Q&A with CREED open to all guests, activities with bands and podcast hosts, panels, autograph sessions, and a very special Y2K Countdown theme party. As if that weren't enough, all guests will receive an autographed commemorative item signed by CREED prior to the event. As previously reported, the first cruise will set sail April 18th-22nd from Miami on the Norwegian Pearl, and feature a number of the same artists listed above. The big difference is that 3 Doors Down are the very special guests instead of Daughtry. Per a press release, the cruise sold out faster than any other artist-led event in promoter Sixthman’s history, with all cabins being reserved within 29 hours of going on sale. Creed have been teasing fans about a special announcement, and now, the news is out.
The rock group’s return to the stage will be aboard the Summer Of ’99 cruise, which will travel from Miami to the Bahamas from April 18-22, 2024. They’ll be joined by special guests 3 Doors Down, along with Buckcherry, Tonic, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, and Nine Days, among others. Creed features singer Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bass player Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. In the years follow’s Creed’s last reunion show, Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips have released new music and toured as Alter Bridge with vocalist Myles Kennedy. Many-times-platinum hard-rock band Creed are set to reunite for their first live performances in over a decade. Five days later (April 27th), Creed will embark on the Summer of ’99 and Beyond cruise from Orlando.
Meanwhile, Stapp has released a couple of solo albums, and briefly fronted the band Art of Anarchy. He also famously experienced a psychotic episode in 2014 but later got his life together after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Full Circle, released in 2009, marked the band’s last album, and Creed stopped touring together in 2012. During the hiatus, Stapp released his second and third solo albums, while Tremonti has regularly released music as the leader of the collective Tremonti, among other side projects. Creed will reunite for their first shows in 12 years in 2024, when they set sail the Summer of ’99 cruise next April as headliners of the rock voyage, the band announced on Wednesday (July 17).
That lineup will feature Daughtry along with several of the bands from the first cruise. As for Creed’s headlining slot, they’ll perform two sets on the Norwegian Pearl’s Pool Deck stage during the cruise. On top of the band performances, the cruise will host a Q&A with Creed, activities with various musicians, and a “Y2K Countdown” theme party. The show marks Creed’s first gig in more than a decade, as their last concert was in December 2012, at the end of their first reunion tour. Previously, the group broke up in 2004 and got together just a few years later, in 2009. After plotting a 2024 reunion with their Summer of ’99 cruise, Creed has announced a 40-city North American tour, which will mark their first time hitting the road together in over a decade.

While no other reunion dates, or recording plans, have yet been announced, Creed will take part in a live Q&A during the Summer of ’99 cruise that will be open to all attendees. Pre-sale signups for the cruises are available now through July 26, with July 28 marking the public on-sale; more details can be found here. Creed are also set to kick off a North American reunion tour later this summer. The tour will take in 40 cities across the continent, and they are set to be the band’s first shows in 12 years.

Also, the first 500 cabins booked will get a photo opportunity with Creed. In the middle of the tour, Creed will head to San Bernardino, Calif. to top the bill of the inaugural Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival, which will corral the openers on various legs of the tour and welcome a few other special guests. 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Finger Eleven, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, The Verve Pipe will join Creed on Aug. 31 at San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheatre.
The 2024 Summer of ’99 tour, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on July 17, 2024, and will run through Sept. 28. While 3 Doors Down will be direct support on the majority of the tour, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Tonic and Big Wreck will join Creed on select dates, and Finger Eleven will open all dates on the reunion run. In the years since Creed’s last show, Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips have continued to release music and tour as Alter Bridge with singer Myles Kennedy. Creed will perform twice for attendees and host a live Q&A open to all aboard the ship. All attendees will also reportedly receive a “commemorative item“ signed by the band.
On April 27, Creed will embark on another cruise titled “Summer of ’99 and Beyond” from Orlando, Florida. That line-up will feature Daughtry as well as the other bands from the previous cruise. The band – comprised of Scott Stapp, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, Mark Tremonti and touring guitarist Eric Friedman – performed a 16-track setlist for the attendees.
The legendary post-grunge band will headline the Summer of ’99 Cruise in 2024, alongside a bevy of other rock bands from the late-1990s era. CREED's enormous success is largely due to the prolific writing team of singer Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti, who founded the band together in 1993. Their winning combination of driving guitar riffs, rousing hooks and introspective lyrics earned them legions of loyal fans around the world. Following the release of their first two albums, the four-piece — which also included bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips — became the first band ever to have seven consecutive No. 1 singles on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. CREED's third album, "Weathered" (2001),also debuted at No. 1, and produced several popular singles, including Top Ten hits "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath".
